In 2026, paying your monthly electric bill is more convenient than ever, and LMRE wants to make sure you, as a member, are aware of all the ways you can save a little time (and a headache or two) by choosing what’s best for your family, business, budget, or lifestyle.

For members who want to take advantage of our most convenient payment option, SmartHub is the way to go. Not only does this program allow members to dive into their specific energy use and help manage their consumption each month, it also offers great online bill pay options, including AutoPay, to save you the hassle of mailing a check or driving to the office. For members who would prefer a more traditional payment option, bills can be dropped off at our office in Spencer during regular business hours, through our 24-hour night deposit, or by mailing them using the provided prepaid envelope that comes with your bill.

Lastly, we have an option to pay by telephone using a credit card or electronic check by calling our secure payment line at 1-833-619-0879.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • If you mail in your payment, we MUST have it in the office by the due date (the 24th of every month) to consider it an on-time payment, regardless of the postmark date. Mail reliability and USPS delays should be factored into your decision when paying by mail. We suggest considering other payment methods as a precaution, as this has been a reoccurring issue in recent months.
  • If you set up AutoPay through SmartHub, make sure you are aware of the expiration date on any credit cards you use. If the credit card on file expires, getting an on-time payment through the system could be delayed.
  • Keep your contact information up-to-date! If there is a problem with your billing, the co-op needs to be able to reach you. Making sure items like your phone number and email address are current helps remedy any billing issues in a timely manner. Members can update their contact information on our website at www.lmre.org/update-contact-info.
