LMRE District 5 Trustee Judy Pickworth renews her Director Gold Certification.

Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce that Judy Pickworth, the District 5 representative on the cooperative’s board of trustees, has met the requirements to renew her Director Gold certification through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

Pickworth has continued to meet the requirements to maintain the status of a Director Gold certified trustee, which signifies her continued commitment to her education throughout her service on the board as an addition to NRECA’s Director Education Program.

To maintain Director Gold status, Pickworth must earn three credits every two years from a list of approved courses by the NRECA. Pickworth also previously completed the Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) and Board Leadership Certificate (BLC) through NRECA.

The Director Gold program was created to recognize electric cooperative trustees who remain committed to continuing their education throughout their tenure on the board and acts as an addition to the CCD and BLC certifications.

NRECA is the national service organization representing the nation’s more than 900 consumer-owned electric cooperatives, which provide service to more than 37 million people in 47 states.
