Four $3,000 scholarships and four $1,200 scholarships are available to children of co-op employees and trustees who are graduating high school seniors and are not eligible for other scholarships offered by the cooperative. Scholarships are awarded annually, following an interview of the finalists in Columbus. The scholarship is named after long-time cooperative employee Louise Freeland, who retired in 1990, and is administered by Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives.

Applicants of the Louise Freeland Scholarship must complete this online orientation and submit their application and attachments to Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives by February 2. Louise Freeland Scholarship purpose and rules can be found on the previously mentioned webpage.
