To expand our communication efforts, Lorain-Media is making a concerted effort to collect member's email addresses. E-mail will NOT be shared with outside agencies.
Cooperative Service and Fees
This section shows the costs associated with delivering electricity from the substation to the member's meter. It includes the $22.25 monthly Basic Service Charge and the $2 submeter charge for the Geothermal, Dual Fuel or Electric Thermal Storage programs; local distribution costs for power delivery service and the rounded up contribution for the People Fund.
Purchased Power Charge
This section shows the cost of wholesale power purchased from Buckeye Power, the wholesale power supplier of Lorain-Medina. The Power Cost Adjustment, which fluctuates each month with the price of power, is included in this section along with any load management discounts, such as geothermal, dual fuel, air conditioning (Cool Returns) and water heaters. If Congress adopts Cap and Trade legislation the cost will be shown here.
